Say Bye-Bye to unwanted tones from the sun and elements of summer and hello to flattering warm tones!!

For blondes, there’s no time like fall to embrace warmth. Why? Because “ashy and beige shades wash out your complexion. For glowing color , creates dimension with butterscotch lowlights, then bolsters highlights with a golden gloss.

Before lightening up, a brunette must go darker. It’s very common for brunettes get brassy in the summer, so go one or two shades darker with a single process to diminish any unwanted orange or red tones.

Whether washed-out ginger or eye-popping vermillion, avoid cool undertones. Warmer tones, like auburn, tend to be more flattering.

It happens to most… DRY HAIR! Check out these inexpensive trusted at-home tricks that will condition your brittle, dried out locks, leaving you with gorgeous, healthy hair.

Repair damage with an avocado – Mash a ripe avocado (pit removed) with one egg, then apply this home remedy to wet hair. Avocados are rich in vitamins, essential fatty acids, and minerals that will help restore luster to your hair, says Stephen Sanna, expert colorist at the Pierre Michel Salon in New York City. Leave on for at least 20 minutes, then rinse several times. Repeat once a week for damaged hair and once a month for healthy hair.

Massage in butter – Try this home remedy: treat dry, brittle hair with a small amount of butter for a glossy shine. Massage it into your dry hair, then cover your hair with a shower cap for about a half hour. Shampoo as usual, and rinse all the butter out.

Condition with olive oil – Put the moisture back into dry hair by warming up 1/2 cup olive oil (do not boil it), and then rubbing it into your hair. Cover tresses with a plastic bag, then wrap everything in a towel. Let this home remedy do its thing for 45 minutes, then shampoo and completely rinse.

Never learned how to fishtail braid? You’re not alone. And this ethereal, intricate-looking ‘do might look intimidating. But it’s important to remember that braiding is probably the simplest hair skill to master. All you really need is a pair of hands and a hair tie — no hot tools or hair products necessary.

These fishtail braid instructions are easy to understand…

Step 1

Pull hair back into a ponytail. If this is your first time trying a fishtail, start by securing your hair with a disposable clear elastic or a hair bungee.

Step 2

Divide the ponytail into two smaller, equal-sized ponytails.

Step 3

Separate a half-inch section of hair from the outside of the left ponytail.

Step 4

Pull this piece across the top of the left ponytail over to the right ponytail.

Step 5

Next, separate a half-inch section of hair from the outside of the right ponytail.

Step 6

Pull this piece across the top of the right ponytail over to the left ponytail.

Step 7

Repeat steps 3-6 until you run out of hair.

Step 8

When you’re finished braiding, secure the ends with a second elastic.

Step 9

If you used an elastic to start at the nape of the neck, cut it out. If you used a hair bungee, simply remove. Be sure to adjust the hair so that there’s no crease.

Until next time…

There comes a time in every girl’s life where she wants to change her look. So we ask the very simple question… long hair or short hair?

Long Hair.

Most love the options that come with long hair, the braids, the buns, ponytails and half up/half down styles. The possibilities are endless. But with all those possibilities comes a lot of responsibility. Brushing your hair at least six times a day, and don’t even get me started about what happens in warmer weather. The frizz is absolutely ridiculous. This can be hard if you’re an on-the-go person and never really like to go the extra mile to look amazing yet somehow still want to look like you had the patience to sit there and neatly sort out the jungle that may be your hair. Not today, Satan. Not today. It has been said that men prefer long hair… True?

Short Hair.

Wake up to hair that simply just needs to be brushed through and parted however you chose to wear it that day. You get out of the shower and don’t have to deal with knotting hair. Just a simple glide through with a brush is really all that is needed. Straightening and curling have become easier tasks as well. With shorter hair there’s not a lot to manage and style. Lets not forget, some braids and buns are not an option but, let’s face it, short hair usually doesn’t get in the way.

Until next time…

Split ends can be one of the worst things to deal with when it comes to taking care of your hair. At times it can get frustrating especially when you trying out multiple products and your ends are still dry. However,
here are some tips and tricks to battle split ends.1. Trim Your Ends
Though this is quite the obvious, trimming your ends can help generously especially with your hair growth. Trimming your hair can also eliminate your split ends from getting any worse and also help your hair get healthy again.2. Use a Hair Mask
Whether you buy a mask from the store or create your own DIY Mask, this simple task can simply help moisturize your hair before you shampoo and condition.3. Use a Hair Oil
After washing your hair, try applying a light hair oil on the ends of your hair to help moisturize your split ends. You can either apply it before you dry your hair or after. This will help a lot with frizzy hair and flyaway’s.

4. Use The Right Hair Elastics
Whenever you are tying your hair up, try to use hair ties that have no metal elastics that can snag and make your hair break off. Try to get soft cotton ones so they can never get caught in your hair and give you weird indents.

5. Limit your use of Hair Tools
One of the best things you can do with your hair is to limit your use of any heat hair tools. Try to use frizz-free products and air dry your hair which helps your hair stay healthy longer.

Battling with split ends may be a nightmare but following these tips can lead you to the road of healthy hair goodness!

When thinking about music festivals, hair styles are one of the very first things that come to mind. The flower crown has always been a universal symbol for music festivals themselves and has been admired by many festival goers. With pinned up hair and a flower halo the simple look is complete and ready to go. The messy braid is also a classy yet simple hairstyle to pull off. Take a French braid and make it a bit messy by taking some hair strands out of the braid. If you want to still have flashy accessories in your hair , but don’t want to rock the floral crown you can put smaller doodads secured in by pins to give a more subtle style. If you want to go very simple then the side braid might be for you. Keeping it casual is sometimes the best way to go and makes for an easy preparation. At the end of the day any hairstyle is acceptable for a festival that lets you show your creativity and originality. Hopefully these styles help you make a decision for your next festival.
